How to come to Patmos
Ferry from Athens: The ferry leaves 3-5 times a week (depending on the season) from Piraeus, Gate E1 (Dodecanese). The trip lasts 7-11 hours depending on the ferry. You can see more about the timetables here: www.bluestarferries.gr
Flight from Athens: The fastest way to reach Patmos is by air, via Samos, Kos, Leros, Ikaria or Kalymnos as Patmos does not has an airport. Hellenic Seaways catamarans or Blue Star Ferries ferry-boats leave from these islands daily. Checking Kos first is a good option since usually has more flights available and the chances of finding a connecting ferry are higher.
If you are planning on taking a taxi boat Ikaria or Leros are better options since they are in close proximity with Patmos.
From other islands: If you are already on an island and want to visit patmos please check here to see if there are any ferries available: https://www.vrisko.gr/en/ferry-routes-greece/. You can also book a taxi boat as an alternative.
Helicopter: this is by far the easiest way to reach Patmos.
